Advice for Your Special Event
Preparation
- generally speaking, avoid facials within one week or facial waxing within 4 days of your occasion (it is great to have your eyebrows shaped by a professional)
- if you have decided that you would like a spray tan for your event, consider booking a trial with your chosen professional, or make sure it's someone you know or who comes highly recommended
- for smooth lips, apply lip balm regularly, especially at night
- cleanse and moisturise your face and neck daily leading up to your special occasion
- tried and tested ... drink water and try to get some good sleep!
Event Day
- wear a button down or loose-fitting shirt to your hair and makeup appointments ... this can be easily removed without disturbing the work done
- have a pressed powder handy ... after many kisses and hugs at special occasions, a small touch up may be required; also include in your purse some tissues, hair spray and bobby pins, safety pins, perfume and band aids
- after makeup is complete, touch your face as little as possible; this helps it look fresher for longer
Advice for Trials
- wear a light coloured top/shirt
- bring clippings/images of makeup styles that appeal to you as a starting point; keep in mind that adjustments may be needed to ensure the look suits you
- your input is extremely important in designing the look you're after, so don't be afraid to suggest changes
- Mums and/or Bridesmaids are welcome to attend trials
